The process will typically commence with the top level system design for the electrical generation system. This integrates the requirements from the device and control system, along with the electrical network (grid code requirements including voltage variation, frequency variation, reactive power and transient voltage capability). This system design then allows individual specifications for the generator and any associated converter to be developed. This can be undertaken either independently, or in discussion with any preferred vendors.
In addition to the specification of the generator and power converter, we can also advise on the requirements for the auxiliary system, main transformer and switchgear. This would typically include defining requirements and reviewing client/vendor designs.
