Sophisticated Wind Farm Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System
GH SCADA has been designed by GL Garrad Hassan in collaboration with turbine manufacturers, wind farm operators, developers and financiers to meet the needs of all those involved in wind farm operation, analysis and reporting.
GH SCADA can be used with any wind turbine and therefore allows a uniform analysis and reporting process irrespective of the equipment used and can incorporate data from met masts and substations. It is currently used on over 5GW of wind farms globally.
GL Garrad Hassan has made measurements on a large number of wind turbines using its monitoring system, GH T-MON, and has experience of wind turbine design, SCADA systems and data analysis from numerous wind farm projects.

GH SCADA allows local or remote control of individual turbines or user defined groups of turbines.
The user is able to monitor the wind farm current status through a graphical user interface (GUI) showing a map based representation of the wind farm or a series of tables summarising turbine, meteorological station and grid station status.
The site communications network is based on Modbus - an industry standard protocol. It can operate on the simplest of networks but is also compatible with the faster TCP/IP networks.
